The Hero's Curriculum

Our curriculum is designed to help each child uncover their genius, discover their calling, and become the hero of their own life story.

We are Heroes in training.

YOU are.

So are each of your children.

And future heroes need a hero's training.

They won't be prepared for their life mission and purpose with the rote learning of the past -- the kind that was designed to train future factory workers.

Heroes need to learn how to think, analyze, innovate, and create!

They need to become informed, intelligent, and empowered community members who can create lasting change.

And it begins by 'pushing' power to the children.

If a child does not SEE and UNDERSTAND that they are training to be a hero -- they won't be prepare themselves to be one.

If the ENVIRONMENT -- and every element of the CURRICULUM -- are not designed around 'hero training' they will be at a disadvantage.

Future heroes (ages 5-20) need a VISION of where they are going and the FREEDOM to pursue it.

They need to be able to take real risks with the potential of failure or loss.

They need to feel their own power and learn to control and direct it.

To do this in a safe way, they need clarity and structure. They also need systems and mentors to guide and protect them.

It's gritty and dreamy and not for the faint of heart. But it inspires growth and transformation.

What does this 'heroes training' actually look like?

  1. Learn to BE

  2. Learn to DO

  3. Learn to KNOW

Learn to Be

All heroes need to discover the answers to questions about WHO they want to BE:

  • Who am I?

  • Where am I going?

  • What do I love to do?

  • What is my dream?

  • What gives me energy or makes me excited?

  • What is my life purpose?

  • What kind of person do I want to be?

  • What are my unique strengths?

  • What is my role in my family, community, and the world?

Learn to Do

All heroes need to discover the answers to questions about WHAT they need to DO:

  • What tools or skills do I need to be who I want to be?

  • What skills will I master?

  • What do I need to practice to master those skills?

  • What can I do to generate mental, emotional, and physical energy?

  • What project am I working on?

  • What am I creating?

  • How can I lead those around me?

  • How can I add value to my family, community, and the world?

Learn to Know

All heroes need to discover the answers to questions about WHAT they need to LEARN and KNOW:

  • What information or knowledge do I need to become who I want to be?

  • What facts and definitions matter to my life mission?

  • What do I need to learn to care for my body, mind, and soul?

  • What knowledge will help me generate mental, emotional, and physical energy?

  • What do I need to learn to succeed at the projects am I working on?

  • What information will help me create instead of consume?

  • What can I learn to better lead those around me?

  • What information will help me add value to my family, community, and the world?

Accountability

All heroes need to systems and mentors to hold them accountable:

  • Who will affirm me and hold me accountable?

  • What systems do I commit to following?

  • Who will guide or mentor me when I feel lost or stuck?

  • How will I prove what I know or what I can do?

If we teach today’s students as we taught yesterday’s, we rob them of tomorrow.
